But I find this one to be fresh, light, not overwhelmingly oaky. I can't say it blew my socks off, but it is a fantastic value! GO OCTAVIN!

I am not a huge new world chardonnay fan either. so the 2 in one place got me a little nervous

I am not scared of inexpensive wine. I LOVE a good QPR. But frankly, wine in a box still scares me a little.

I've had this Octavin of Monthaven Winery 2009 Chardonnay open for over 2 weeks now. And I LIKE IT! ... and this surprised me.

The kind Octavin folks sent me some samples. I have notes that I promise to share in a real blog post. But I just have to share...

so, I'm REAAAAALLY busy. But I have to take the time to write about a wine that has taken me by surprise. ...
